About me

Since childhood I am a big fan of spectacular movies. Visual world often catched me more than the story itself and I was totally impressed by the artistic and technical background of creating huge cities, non-existent monsters, or alien civilisations. The magic behind the scenes was already in the center of my interest as a child, but only as a teenager watching TV documentary Masters of Illusion - The Wizards of Special Effects made it clear: that is what I would like to do.

In 2002 I have met Vilmos Thernesz, whose vision and experience as a cinematographer and a visual effects supervisor has had a major impact on me. Insipired by him, but self-taught, I started to learn using digital post production software. Later, building upon the acquired knowledge I had written my thesis about colour-screen shooting titled: Alpha channel applications in video- and film-techniques.

Since 2006 I have been working full-time as a compositor and matchmover. Beside participating in shooting and post-production of commercials and feature films, I also have worked in animation short, high-resolution projection and videomapping shows. Since 2008 I have been working in American film productions primarily.
